| Prior to working for Bright
Beginnings, Ani had been working as the Migrant
Head Start Coordinator for Leaps and Bounds daycare
in Princeville, IL registering eligible migrant
families, updating health records for the children,
maintaining monthly reports about families enrolled,
and providing general services such as transportation
and translation. She also received training on providing
developmental screenings for children 3 years of
age and up. During the summer of 2000, Ani worked
as Home Visitor for the Tiempo De Valor Migrant
Even Start program in Princeville. Because she continues
to migrate back and forth, Ani is able to work with
the same families both in Illinois and in Texas. |
| Ani's education includes a high
school diploma from Eagle Pass High School, Eagle
Pass, Texas in 1999. Through enrollment at Southwest
Texas Junior College in Del Rio, Texas and Illinois
Central College in East Peoria, IL, Ani obtained
her Associate’s degree in May 2002. In the
spring of 2003, she started working towards her
Bachelor’s degree in Education. Her goal is
to get her Master’s degree in education and
work as an elementary school teacher. |
