Jeri Kinser
Instructional Technology Specialist

As the Instructional Technology Specialist for Project MAX, Jeri’s duties include assistance with:

Web site development
Curriculum and instruction
Material development
Supervision of the Cobden staff
Jeri has a Bachelor’s degree and secondary teacher’s certificate in Spanish and a Master’s degree with a double major in Spanish and English as a Second Language. In August, 2001, she obtained a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with specialties in instructional technology and teacher education. All three of these degrees come from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
In addition, Jeri has over 15 years experience in migrant education and nine years experience teaching in the public schools. She has taught English, Spanish, History, and Geography in grades 6-12; and Spanish in grades K-5 under a transitional bilingual certificate.
Since beginning her work with the Illinois Migrant Council in 1998, Jeri has also assisted with ESTRELLA, a multi-state project funded through the U.S. Department of Education, and IMERP, a statewide resource project for migrant education.
