Specialist for Project MAX, Jeri’s duties include
assistance with:

Supervision of the Cobden staff |
| Jeri has a Bachelor’s
degree and secondary teacher’s certificate
in Spanish and a Master’s degree with a double
major in Spanish and English as a Second Language.
In August, 2001, she obtained a Ph.D. in Curriculum
and Instruction with specialties in instructional
technology and teacher education. All three of these
degrees come from Southern Illinois University,
Carbondale. |
| In addition, Jeri has over 15
years experience in migrant education and nine years
experience teaching in the public schools. She has
taught English, Spanish, History, and Geography
in grades 6-12; and Spanish in grades K-5 under
a transitional bilingual certificate. |
Since beginning her work with
the Illinois Migrant Council in 1998, Jeri has also
assisted with ESTRELLA,
a multi-state project funded through the U.S. Department
of Education, and IMERP, a statewide
resource project for migrant education. |
